Interstate 180I-180 goes from I-80 near Princeton south and east to Hennepin. I-180 is commonly perceived to be an unnecessary Interstate highway as it seems to connect to nowhere in particular. In reality, it was built to serve a steel plant in Hennepin not too far from I-80. The plant is currently owned by ArcelorMittal. The existence of the factory does not seem to be ample justification, but there is also a coal mine near the highway. The entire route has a very light traffic volume, and the exits are unnumbered. |
