US 54US 54 begins in Illinois at I-72/US 36 in the western part of the state and goes southwest to El Paso, Texas. It leaves Illinois across from the town of Louisiana, Missouri after traversing only 24 miles in the state. From the 1940s to the 1970s, US 54 went through the state up to Chicago. |
