US 51
US 52US 52 runs from the Iowa line at Savanna to the Indiana line near Sheldon. The general direction is northwest-southeast, but it is marked east-west in Illinois. For the most part, it is not a major route in the state, and significant parts are multiplexed. US 52 came into being in Illinois in 1952 and took over the part or all of the routes of Illinois 8, Illinois 116, Illinois 44, Illinois 118, Illinois 2, and Illinois 27.US 52 connects North Dakota and South Carolina passing through ten states. |
