Illinois State Route 126

Illinois 126 goes from Illinois 47 in Yorkville to I-55 in Plainfield in the far southwest Chicago suburbs. The part from US 30 to I-55 was part of the historic route of US 66. Other parts follow the historic route of the Lincoln Highway. A previous routing of Illinois 126 went from Springfield south to Litchfield on a stretch of road that became US 66.
