Illinois State Route 108Illinois 108 goes from route 100 on the Illinois River near Kampsville to I-55 approximately half way between Springfield and Alton. A free IDOT ferry connects the western end to Illinois routes 96 and 100. Although it ends under the scenic bluffs of the Illinois River, the terrain it passes through is fairly flat.In the 1930s, it was a T-shaped route with a section connecting Greenfield and Rockbridge in Greene County. |
