Illinois State Route 71Illinois route 71 goes from Hennepin generally northeast to Oswego, a far western Chicago suburb. It passes by the scenic Starved Rock State Park on the Illinois River in La Salle County. Except for Oglesby, it avoids the River cities. Route 71 where I-180 begins at the Illinois River in Hennepin. The original Illinois 71 routing was from US 51 (between Rochelle and Mendota) east to Aurora. |
