Illinois State Route 38Route 38 goes from Dixon to the western suburbs of Chicago. In the Chicago area, it is Roosevelt Road. The current route came into being in the early 1970s replacing the Alternate US 30 designation that had existed for several years. The previous route of Illinois 38 was in southwest Illinois from Hardin to Mt. Olive over portions of current routes 16 and 138. |
