Illinois State Route 29Illinois route 29 runs from Spring Valley (LaSalle-Peru area) south to Pana (southeast of Springfield) in a C shape. Much of the route is along the western side of the Illinois River. The original routing was a subset of the current one extending from Depue to Peoria. In the 1930s and 1940s, it eventually took over much of old Illinois 24. |
