US 24US 24 is one of the original US routes and cuts across the north central part of the state. It has been redirected to bypass many of the cities it once served directly. Approximately half of the route in Indiana is controlled access divided highway. The part from Fort Wayne to Logansport is part of the "Hoosier Heartland" corridor. The part from Fort Wayne to the Ohio line is part of the "Fort to Port" corridor which will provided a much needed improvement. Around Fort Wayne, US 24 bypasses south of the city multiplexing with I-69 and I-469. |
