State Road 236

1. The eastern section goes from Middletown to Anderson going past Hoosier Park (horse race track). In Middletown, the eastern terminus, SR 236 ends at Henry CR 800W. This section basically serves to connect Anderson with a suburb.
2. The western section goes between Danville in Hendricks County west to US 41. This section was originally numbered as SR 136. When US 136 came into being in Indiana, it was re-numbered to avoid confusion between the two routes.
