State Road 69State Road 69 is a surprisingly good highway with wide shoulders and gentle curves in the southwest corner of the state. It begins at Griffin on I-64 and extends down to Hovey Lake FWA. Historically, it began in New Harmony and ended by the Ohio River. It has largely been rebuilt (except for a few miles south of Mt. Vernon) to connect Southwind Maritime Centre with I-64. The stretch from SR 62 north is part of the NHS because it connects this major Ohio River port facility to an Interstate highway. |
