State Road 54SR 54 meanders from Sullivan to Avoca (near Oolitic) in southern Indiana. Until the early 1980s, SR 54 went as far west as Meron near the Wabash River on the western edge of the state, but the construction of a dam and Reservoir blocked the route between US 41 and SR 63. Thus, it was cut back to US 41. On the east end, it terminates at SR 37 just north of Bedford on a multiplex with SR 58. SR 54 does not pass through any large cities - Linton is the largest city on the route. |
