State Road 46SR 46 is the first state road south of Indianapolis to make it almost across the state. It is a major highway from Greensburg to Terre Haute with the part east of Greensburg closely paralleling I-74. On the east, it currently ends at US 52, but it originally extended to the Ohio state line northwest of Cincinnati. On the west, it ends at Terre Haute a few miles from the Illinois line, but also apparently made it to the state line in the 1930s until US 150 came into being. |
